Job Qualifications & Position Responsibilities

POSITION

Title: Shipping/Order Fulfillment Manager

Objective: Manage all shipping duties and assist in administrative work.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Education High School Diploma, Some College Preferred
  • Experience At least 1 years’ experience of logistics management preferred. This role encompasses more than just shipping product.

  • Abilities Strong interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to work with others in a team setting to accomplish organizational goals as well as the ability to work independently and take initiative to better the department and company
  • Detail oriented and meticulously attentive to ongoing processes with the ability to identify trends, problems or opportunities for potential improvements
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to clearly articulate solution rationale
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to be decisive when necessary
  • Willingness to grow professionally and in line with the strategic direction of the business

RESPONSIBILITIES

PRIMARY

Order Fulfillment

  • Manage complete order processing workflow
  • Prepare all shipments including physically packaging products and preparing shipping labels using external courier-based software systems
  • Track all shipments and maintain communication with external and internal customers
  • Physically maintain final product inventory and ensure numbers are accurate
  • Keep order fulfillment standard operating procedures current
  • Implement a cloud-based order management system
  • Identify and implement additional continuous improvement to the order fulfillment process
  • Maintain shipping area

SECONDARY

Administrative Activities

  • Assist in any tasks assigned by the Controller
  • Assist in document management and filing activities assigned by Dir of QA

Sales Activities

  • Maintain customer relationships by proactively contacting them regarding order status and conveying any issues that may arise during shipping

Operations Activities

  • Assist in inventory management
  • Assist in final product securing and labeling
